» BRIDGE IN LUMION ENVIRONMENT
The architecture above focuses on the theory of a structure being a multi-sensory experience by engulfing the students of the school with wide views of the landscape. This is achieved through the use of large glass panels for windows and walls.By using Peter Zumthors thermal baths as inspiration an interesting juxtaposition could be created through the very uniform and linear plan to the soft, fluid landscape. This explores the interaction between the built environment and a landscape and thus the transparency of the building enables the students to directly interact with the landscape using their imagination and memories to interpret the architectural experience in a much more personal sense. The moving element aspect connects the separate sections of the building to form a whole structure of intersecting spaces forming a variety of different sensory experiences for students to interpret.
